This August, the Toledo Rep is keeping youngsters aged 8-13 out of trouble by putting them on stage as gangsters, gamblers, and the good folk of the prohibition-era New York underworld in Guys and Dolls Jr. The play is another iteration in the Rep’s Successful Young Rep summer series, which also performed Fiddler on the Roof earlier this year. The story of Guys and Dolls Jr. centers on Nathan Detroit, who can’t seem to get his life together. Between running an illegal craps game and dealing with his fiancée of 14 years, Miss Adelaide, he needs luck to be a lady just to get by. The original Guys and Dolls is a Tony Award-winning musical classic, famous for its rapid-fire and slang-laden dialogue. $10 Adults, $5 Seniors. 7pm Thursday, August 8, Friday, August 9 and Saturday, August 10; 2:30pm Sunday, August 11.
