Motorcycles, the ultimate embodiment of the outlaw spirit, aren’t usually associated with light and fuzzy stuff— like kids, doing nice things for sick kids or even Santa. But the Bikers of Northwest Ohio had their sights set on doing just that. Add to the fact that it’s their 27th year doing it, and you start to think those grizzled hardasses don’t have hearts of stone. In fact, they’re downright sweet as long as you don’t mess with their bikes.
Riding from the Toledo Speedway to the Harbor on 13th St., hundreds of bikers participated in the Harbor Behavioral Health event on November 6 that saw the donation of toys to children eight or older involved with Harbor. In fact, a toy was the entry fee (or the equivalent $10 that could purchase a toy). It’s a great cause and everybody benefits. Especially when Santa shows up in a sidecar.
