As part of the 71st Season of the Toledo Symphony Series, the magic of the North and Baltic Seas will come to life through a vivid picture in a unique October program, in Stormy Seas & Scandinavian Sunsets. The Toledo Symphony Orchestra’s own David Saltzman will play the tuba during the TSO’s premier of Britten Four Sea Interludes and Plau Concerto for Tuba and Strings.  The Norwegian composer Arild Plau’s concerto has been critically acclaimed. Guest conductor Karina Canellakis shapes music notes from the UK and Finland through Sibelius Symphony No. 2. 8pm.
