More than just a genre of music, hip-hop is a lifestyle— a culture. Watch in awe during Hardcore Detroit Presents Hip-Hop 101, as members of Detroit’s Best Dance Company (as crowned by the 2010 Real Detroit reader poll) show off their skills. While the tunes spin, the crew will perform an interactive breakdance battle, introducing bystanders to the technical forms of the popular urban dance style, from locking to popping and all the wiggly and contorted positions the body is capable of creating.
