Take a time-travel adventure back to 16th century at the annual Michigan Renaissance Festival. Inside the turreted gates, the sights and sounds of a 17-acre village, complete with Renaissance shops, taverns and a magnificent castle, are surrounded by continuous street entertainment and 17 themed stages, featuring full-contact armored jousting, comedy and theater shows, music, games and people-powered rides. Fabulous food and more than 300 artisans displaying their works complete the experience. Saturdays & Sundays through October 2. 10am-7pm.
