Photographer, Filmmaker Alex Goetz Will Host Two Exclusive Events in Toledo

Award-winning Photographer and Filmmaker Alex Goetz will be hosting two exclusive events here in Toledo to bring an exciting and new learning experience to the community and those who want to know more about the art of photography and wildlife.

Goetz is a Wildlife photographer, filmmaker and the co-founder of Running Wild Media, a production company that specializes in Wildlife stories and conservation. Goetz has contributed and worked with various media outlets and companies such as National Geographic, BBC, PBS, CNN, CBS and was the winner of the National Geographic WILD “Wild to Inspire” film competition. He is a graduate from Bowling Green State University with a degree in Film production and Environmental Science. His work has allowed him to explore the world through a camera lens and capture the beauty of nature in a single image.

The first event with Goetz will be a community conversation at the KeyBank Discovery Theater where Goetz will showcase and present his recent project which features photographs of bird biodiversity in Northwest Ohio. He then will talk about his photography process, offer tips to help you get the most out of your photos and photography and answer any audience questions at the end.

His next event will be a private photography workshop where he will fully teach you how to get the most out of your camera and how to capture high quality photos of birds, nature and wildlife. This workshop is limited to only 15 people to ensure personalized one on one interaction with Goetz.

The community conversation will take place on Saturday, Aug. 3 from 6 pm to 8 pm at the Imagination Station KeyBank Discovery Theater and the photography workshop on Sunday, Aug. 18 from 11:30 pm to 2:30 pm at Middlegrounds Metropark. Admission for the community conversation is free, and tickets for the photography workshop are available with limited spots still open for $50.
