The Farmer Veteran Coalition Ohio Chapter invites local farmers to attend the Small Ruminant Workshop on Saturday, Sept. 21, 8:30 am to 4 pm.
The workshop will be held at the Wallace Family Boers Farm, 3574 County Road 660, Gibsonburg.Â
Local veteran farmers can enjoy educational presentations from Dr. Sherrie Nuttle, ODA Division of Meat Inspection Regional Veterinarian; Brooks Warner, OSU Agriculture and Natural Resource Extension Educator; Nellie Rowland, CSU Agriculture and Natural Resource Extension Educator and Bill Wallace, farm owner and host of the Small Ruminant Workshop.
Presenters will discuss various topics including selling small ruminant products, small ruminant nutritional needs, internal parasites and FAMACH training. Farmers will also get a chance to tour a goat and hay farm during the workshop.

Both veteran and beginner farmers are invited to attend the Small Ruminant Workshop, however space is limited to 30 farmers. Register here.Â

The Farmer Veteran Coalition is a national organization that works to cultivate the next generation of farmers/ranchers and food leaders across the United States. The state chapters provide grassroots support for veteran farmers.
