Playing and composing on the Hawaiian-sound instrument (originally crafted in Portugal) since age 4, Shimabukuro came to prominence when a video of him playing George Harrison’s “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” went viral on YouTube. Now he’s touring major venues and bringing his mixture of jazz, blues, funk, rock, bluegrass, classical, swing, and flamenco to adoring fans worldwide.
