Local filmmakers are a key part of the arts in the area, and Hivemind Films is a great example of local excellence. The film collective claims to be a “group of weirdos making videos and 3D printing stuff.” Working out of a space they lovingly refer to as “the nerd cave,” Hivemind Films has an illustrious YouTube channel filled with parody videos and comedy creations. Toledo is home to a large comedy scene, including venues and individuals. The best comedian in Toledo is Emily Garrow, a largely improvisation comedian in the area. Having been a part of the Glass City Improv group for four years, Garrow started doing open mics a year and a half ago at the Ottawa Tavern.
