The Art Tatum Jazz Heritage Society strives to keep the love for jazz alive in Toledo. Often working with the University of Toledo and the Toledo Symphony to inspire programs and reach vast audiences, the Heritage Society has been in the community for 100 years. Art Tatum currently seeks to “make jazz a more integrated fiber of our community and watch it flourish and honor our musical history.” Reaching out to Toledoans for donations or encouraging membership allows the Art Tatum Society to continue Tatum Days within Toledo Public Schools and more. Get Your Geek On
Get ready to get technical. Programming and understanding home theater systems, mobile devices and digital cameras can be a daunting task. However, the Toledo-Lucas County Library Heatherdowns Branch can help with their Get Your Geek On workshop series. Each once-monthly program will walk novice techies through the ins and outs of their gadgets. Upcoming events include Simplify Your Life Using Mobile Devices, Monday, February 7.
