Unless you've been living under a rock for the past two years, there's no way you've escaped Fifty Shades of Grey, the kinky novel trilogy by British author E.L. James that's convinced many middle-aged women to buy their first pair of handcuffs. You know a novel is a genuine phenomenon when it merits a musical spoof, and sure enough on Friday, October 5 the Stranahan Theater will present Spank! The Fifty Shades Parody. Expect naughty secretaries, people being tied up and send-ups of every other clichéd fetish in this unofficial lampooning of the modern erotic ‘classic’.
