In the summer of 2012, three former members of staple Ohio jam band, Ekoostik Hookah, decided to reunite to form BigEaR. Featuring John Mullins, Cliff Starbuck and Steve Frye from Ekoostik Hookah alongside newcomers Nate Hollman and Ian Carrol from the John Bullins Band, BigEaR plays high-energy psychedelic rock. Lead singer and guitarist John Mullins describes the band’s sound as "psyfolkadelic-rock rhythm & blues—funk on a good day,  wishy-washy jazz on a bad day." In-between their Appalachian-tinged Americana rock songs they delve into extended funky improvisation—don't forget your dancing shoes.

10pm. $5. Rocket Bar, 135 S. Byrne Rd., Toledo. 419-536-2582.
