Going green has become a popular option for consumers. The Toledo-Lucas County Sustainability Commission along with the Northwest Ohio Green Products Center (a program from the Center of Food and Technology which supplies information on green products and companies throughout Northwest Ohio) hosts a Sustainable Purchasing Forum on Friday, January 28 from 8 to 11:45am. Anticipated topics for the free event include green labels, group sustainable procurement and the new sustainable purchasing ordinance recently passed by the City of Cleveland. Businesses can learn about the importance of sustainability and network with area professionals.
