Owens Community College Theatre Program and the Valentine Theatre are gearing up for their second annual education outreach program, Schools Helping School (SHS), to support area students to navigate the arts. Owens students will write, stage, and perform plays in 24 hours during Theatre Express. Six playwrights and 24 actors will participate to give their audience an evening of semi-improvisational, original works that will showcase local talent. A dessert reception for patrons will follow, featuring tunes by the Owens Jazz Express.
