Joyeux Noël is the story of a Christmas truce, a series of unofficial ceasefires that took place along the Western Front around Christmastime 1914, during World War I. Scottish, German and French troops negotiate an unauthorized truce in observance of the holiday, but tension mounts when their superiors become aware of the occasion. Loyalties are tested and enemies learn a lesson in brotherhood.
