As I’m currently finishing up my Friday, Matt Woods is in my earphones reminding me that there’s whiskey across the street. But, I guess that’s what good alt-country does — and the Knoxville native’s no-rules Americana that veers from dirty, Southern rock-n-roll to sweet folk ballads with crying fiddles and bending guitars is no exception.
