Two Who Dared tells the story of the Sharps, who moved to Czechoslovakia in 1939 to assist refugees in Prague under the auspices of the Unitarian Church. While there, Nazi forces invaded. Under threat of arrest by the Gestapo, the Sharps returned to the United States. In June 1940 the couple traveled to Lisbon, Portugal and then on to France where they risked their own lives by helping many flee the Nazi terror.
