Alissa’s Home Décor and Garden Store specializes in sophisticated yet affordable accents for your home and garden. A location on Holland-Sylvania opened in February, adding to the already thriving Reynolds Road location. They’re locally owned and operated by Alissa Morrin, a friendly and energetic décor enthusiast, who previously sold real estate. “When I built my home, I decorated all by myself,” she says. “My husband and I decided it would be a great idea to open a home décor business.” Since its opening, Alissa’s Home Décor and Garden Store is a favorite destination for unique gifts and accents for homes and gardens.
Inspirational ideas
The store exhibits a large selection of pots, housewares and Mexican chiminea,many exciting and inspiring items, from paintings to place mats, and trinkets to jewelry. “Everyone deserves nice things for their home,” she says. “The gazing balls and wind chimes are two of my favorites, they are oneof–kind. I love the garden line,” says Alissa. “The jewelry is beautiful;” it makes the perfect gift.
Giving back
For Morrin there have been rewards from owning her business since 2009. The store contributes to the community by donating to various charities and organizations. Along with the shop’s community outreach, Morrin enjoys assisting customers. “I just love going in and helping people make their garden and home as they’ve imagined. It’s really rewarding,” she says.
