Being a casanova is harder than it sounds—or so The Last of the Red Hot Lovers, the first play in the Village Players' 2013-14 season, would have you believe. Set in the 60's, the play profiles Barney Cashman, who decides to get in on the sexual revolution in his middle age, and fails in hilarious fashion when his would-be conquests turn out to be a bit more liberated than he is. Written by celebrated playwright Neil Simon, who also wrote The Odd Couple, The Last of the Red Hot Lovers is a classic comedy with a wonderfully perverse twist.
