Be inspired by a lifelong crusader for justice, as Owens Community College’s Center For Fine and Performing Arts presents Sr. Helen Prejean on Tuesday, January 25. Prejean has spoken out against capital punishment and ministered to death row inmates for thirty years now, and has won worldwide respect as a voice of conscience. She is best known as the author of Dead Man Walking, a memoir of her relationship with two condemned men. The book was made into an acclaimed film, directed by Tim Robbins and starred Susan Sarandon as Prejean.
