The Toledo Museum of Art recently expanded its abstract American art collection with the acquisition of two works by internationally-recognized artist Frank Stella. Conway I, created in 1966 as part of his "Irregular Polygons" series, joins 1969’s Lac Laronge IV in the TMA's collection. The second work, a sculpture titled La penna di hu, 1987-2009, is a mixed media work of etched magnesium, aluminum and fiberglass. Both works can be found in the Wolfe Gallery for Contemporary Art in the Museum's east wing.
