Get Crafty before Christmas

Give a unique, handmade gift and support a local artist in the process at the Toledo Craftsman’s Guild show, “The Winter Festival of Crafts,” Sunday, December 12 at the Franciscan Center at Lourdes University. In addition to dozens of one-of-a-kind gift ideas, the guild will feature plenty of beautiful decorations and accessories for your home, all made by area artisans.

Make your own glass snowman

What’s the saddest part of “Frosty the Snowman?” That’s right, when he melts at the end. Well, what if you had your own, personal Frosty that will never melt? The Toledo Museum of Art’s latest installment of its popular Glass Art Workshops on Fridays and Saturdays in December, will have attendees make their own glass snowman to take home. $30 for members, $40 for non-members. 6pm and 7pm, Fridays. Noon, 1pm and 3pm, Saturdays. December 3-18.
