Wood County Park District Names New Community and Communications Specialist

The Wood County Park District has announced the appointment of Jessie Walton-Summers as its new Community & Communications Specialist. In this role, Walton-Summers will oversee the promotion of park programs and events, develop publications, manage media relations, and lead volunteer recruitment efforts.

Park District Director Chris Smalley expressed enthusiasm about the addition to the team. “We are so very pleased to welcome Jessie to our team to handle a very important part of our operations,” he said.

Walton-Summers brings a background in graphic design and communications to the position. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Bowling Green State University with an emphasis in graphic design. Prior to joining the Park District, she worked as a graphic designer with MadAveGroup in Toledo and also served as store manager and graphic designer for Finders Records in Bowling Green.

Her experience in branding, marketing, and community engagement is expected to enhance the Park District’s outreach efforts.
