Puppy love

It’s a classic item on a child’s Christmas wish list—a puppy. But Christmas isn’t the only time when lovable pups stand in need of a home. Year round, needy dogs at the dog warden shelter await adoption. To help encourage families to adopt a new four-legged family member this summer, the Lucas County Dog Warden is holding a Christmas in July event. Through July, families can take home a new dog by paying for only the dog license ($25) and a reduced adoption fee ($25). Some dogs have even been sponsored, so their adoption fee will be waived.
