The Division of Cannabis Control has launched the Cannabis Service Center to help consumers, patients and licensees. The CSC will help the DCC with the questions that it receives from people who handle cannabis in anyway.
When someone calls the CSC a case will be created and possibly assigned to a team or individual to find the answer and to follow-up. The CSC’s main focus is case management but there are plans to expand its responsibilities, like developing a licensee portal and adding different tools and resources for users, according to a DCC press release.
The CSC is a single point of contact for the resources offered by the DCC for licensees and the public. The goal is to improve satisfaction, provide support, enhance, transparency and ensure safety and accountability for stakeholders and consumer satisfaction.
The DCC is a part of the Ohio Department of Commerce that licenses and regulates cannabis cultivators, processors, testing laboratories and dispensaries. It also oversees the Medical Marijuana Patient and Caregiver Registry.

Since the legalization of cannabis in Ohio the DCC has received many inquiries from people, businesses and industries. The division aims to provide a fair and equitable marketplace with safe and tested products. The CSC is an additional resource to help uphold that mission.
“While we’ve done our best to ensure a timely response and provide helpful guidance, this resource will allow us to more efficiently engage with individuals in the event they are asking questions, seeking guidance or sharing concerns related to Ohio’s cannabis market,” said DCC Superintendent Jim Canepa.
The CSC is available for inquiries by phone and email. The phone number for the center is 833-464-6627, the email for license-related matters is [email protected] and the email for compliance-related matters is [email protected].
Questions the CSC frequently receives cover topics like licensing and applications, patients and consumers, local governments, and rulemaking. From the general public, most questions are related to how to comply with the law, like “Are there age restrictions for the consumption of non-medical cannabis?” “Can consumers grow their own cannabis now?” and “What forms of marijuana will be available for purchase?”
