One local dentist is offering kids cash for candy.
Frankel Dentistry is back with its annual “Cash for Candy” event, which began Nov. 1.
Trick-or-treaters can bring their wrapped Halloween candy to Frankel Dentistry and receive $1 per pound of wrapped candy.

“Regular dental checkups and daily brushing are important, but reducing sugar intake, especially after Halloween, is an easy way to protect your teeth and overall health,” Dr. Frankel said. “By trading in that extra candy, you’re making a healthy choice.”
The donated candy will be sent to Toledo troops serving overseas. Last year, Dr. Frankel was able to donate over a ton of candy.
Candy can be donated between Nov. 1-8. Drop off at either Jon Frankel Dentrist, 5012 Talmadge Rd. or Frankel & Puhl Dentristy, 4359 Keystone Dr. during office hours.
