Cheap & Chic Event at the Lamson Building

Toledo area residents who love to shop are invited to the Cheap & Chic shoppers event at the Lamson building, 600 Jefferson Ave., on Saturday, March 9. Cheap & Chic is an event where all of your favorite clothing lines will be showcased and sold at a discounted price all in one place.

Shopping hours are 9 am to 3 pm and admission for participating in the event is $5, which goes to the victory center alongside the money the event will make from its raffle. Participating brands include Ragazza, Sophia Lustig, Vivian Kate, the Little Being, Meig, Fiddlesticks, Rialto Jean Project, Eden, Wear, Hip to the Groove and Pura Cashmere.

The event will last only for the one day and will not happen again until next year.

The Lamson building is a five story building that was originally housed Lamson’s Department Store when the building was constructed in 1928 for close to $3 million by the nationally known architecture firm Mills, Rhines, Bellman and Nordhoff, Lamson’s was considered as Toledo’s best department store. Although Lamson’s achieved great success during its operation, it was closed in 1974 because of the popularity of suburban malls.
