The Ann Arbor Book Festival comes to Michigan this month

Boost your brainpower, get whisked away to a fantasyland or just be a lookie-loo when the Ann Arbor Book Festival hits Michigan. From the street fair (Washington St. between 4th and 5th Ave.) on Saturday to book crawls in various restaurants, bars and stores, book vendors will have items for sale, and authors and poets will be on hand doing live readings of their works. Literati Bookstore will host special guest Roxane Gay, author of the Bad Feminist essay collection, at Hill Auditorium (825 N. University Ave.). 7pm on Friday, June 16: $30, includes a hardcover copy of Gay’s memoir. Event times and locations vary throughout Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, see website for specifics.
