Ira Glass visits Ann Arbor’s Power Center

Fans of National Public Radio are going to want to head to Ann Arbor when Ira Glass visits the Power Center on July 1. Presenting his touring lecture, Ira Glass: Seven Things I’ve Learned, the radio host of NPR’s popular This American Life (and the hit podcast Serial that was started by the show) will be bringing a special brand of education to the A2 crowd. With 4.4 million listeners around the world for a show that relays stories of real people and their everyday experiences, Glass has collected some key lessons that he will reveal to the audience. Starting out for NPR when he was an intern in 1978, he’s worked every job on every show for the network and started the NPR tentpole program, This American Life, in 1995. 8pm.
