Summer in the City – June 2022

June brings Summer in the City! Toledo City Paper’s annual calendar spotlighting area happenings throughout this warmer season. It’s time to celebrate all the amazing concerts, festivals and events that make Toledo an exciting and welcoming place. Here are our picks for the hottest things to do this month:

Music at the Market Begins

Bring a lawn chair or blanket and enjoy an awesome summer concert in Perrysburg, thanks to Mercy Health. Every Thursday, 7pm, June 2 through August 26, at the Commodore Schoolyard at 140 E. Indiana Ave., across from Way Public Library.

Old West End Festival
One of the area’s longest-running and most beloved annual events returns with the 48th anniversary of the Old West End Festival. (See the Toledo City Paper special insert!) Friday, June 3 through Sunday, June 5. toledooldwestend.com/festival

Bark in the Park 2022
A 5k run and a one-mile leisure walk are the centerpieces of this annual event aimed at raising funds for the Toledo Humane Society. Attendees will also experience a variety of live entertainment, games, a “Paw Patio” with adult beverages and more. $25 to participate in the run/walk. 10am-noon. Maple and Main Art and Music Festival
Traditionally held the weekend after Memorial Day, Sylvania’s annual artistic celebration brings thousands of visitors downtown. Artists in a variety of media showcase their pieces while food trucks, musical performances and beverages from local breweries make the day an event to remember. 11:30am-7:30pm, Saturday. 10am-4pm, Sunday. Ottawa Park Summer Concert Series begins

Toledo One Walk

Juneteenth Weekend Celebration

Muddy Mini Half Marathon, Quarter Marathon and 5K
