When the Wood County Public Library wants to beef up its collection, it doesn’t hold a bake sale, it gets full-on Gatsby. The 9th Annual Benefit for the Library at Schedel Gardens will be a charming party in an idyllic setting. Proceeds from live and silent auctions along with ticket sales will be used to buy books for the library. Nibble hors d’oeuvres and sip adult beverages with a highly literate crowd of philanthropists and well-wishers. Golf cart tours of the grounds available, starting at 4:30pm. $75 of the ticket price is tax deductible. 6-8pm. Thursday, July 20. $100/per ticket.
