Poetry and Piano in the Name of ART

Toledo-born, Art Tatum, put the city on the map in the early 1900s as one of the greatest jazz pianists of all time. Vision impaired from birth, Tatum learned to play the piano by ear and developed a rapid playing style that, throughout the years,  never lost accuracy. Enjoy the rich culture of jazz during Poetry and Piano in the Name of ART, an evening of performances by local pianists and poets as part of the Tatum Center Fall 2015 program. Light refreshments will be served.
