Tap into your zen moment during Maumee Bay Brewing Company’s new Mantra Mondays

Whether you’re new to the practice or a lifelong practitioner, yoga and meditation are powerful tools for anyone to access during these uncertain times. Maumee Bay Brewing Company and local Ashtanga yoga instructor Malena Caruso have created an ongoing event that allows participants to practice safely outdoors.

The weekly classes are called “Mantra Mondays,” a chance for outdoor yoga and meditation on Maumee Bay’s lawn. The lessons are appropriate for all levels, even if you’ve never rolled out a mat before. The best part? You can top off your zen asanas with an $8 pitcher as a well-deserved post-session treat.

Caruso is a certified E-RYT (Experience Registered Yoga Teacher) with ten years of instruction under her belt. She focuses on Ashtanga, a traditional and therapeutic flow.

In a social media post about leading Mantra Mondays, Caruso said, “This gift of yoga that I get to share with all of you is truly a blessing. I don’t hold expectations of how many people will show up to practice because the gratitude I feel fills my heart, whether it’s one or 21.”

Each session is limited to 20 people to ensure social distancing, so you’ll want to sign up well in advance to secure your spot. Make sure to bring your own mat and water bottle.

$10. Venmo payment to Malena-Caruso. 6pm every Monday. Maumee Bay Brewing Company, 27 Broadway St. 419-243-1302. Mbaybrew.com. Email [email protected] with any questions. malenacaruso.com
