Enjoy a screening of five short films while celebrating the art of local filmmakers at the inaugural Batfish Expo. Moviegoers will have the opportunity to watch a handful of short films, each noted for originality and a connection to the local film scene. On reel is a classic story called “A Fish and His Man” by Michael D. Scherer, a non-graphic horror film “Dark Things” by Nick Corbin, "The Peddler" by Ryan Gagnet, "Stalled" by the Sourwood Mountain film team and “Mowing through Misery” by Steve Boatman, a fun short on the way-too-often task of mowing. The evening will also include interactive on-screen challenges for audience members, allowing them to relate to the big screen. Appropriate for all ages and family-friendly. The grand prize challenge is geared toward 6-14 year olds.
Screenings are at 6pm & 8pm on Thursday, August 27.
In advance: $10/adults, $8/12 & under; at the door: $11/adults, $9/12 & under.
