The life of painter Gulley Jimson unfolds in the The Horse’s Mouth, a 1958 English film based on the novel by Joyce Cary. The Horse’s Mouth displays the comic journey of a London artist with a crude approach. Upon being released from prison, Jimson entangles his sponsor, friends and ex-wife in a chaotic search for redemption. Utilizing any possible canvas he can find, Jimson is determined to rise to the ideal. Can he achieve his goal without damaging anyone in the process?
