The struggle of mentally ill offenders attempting to leave prison and return as citizens, often to end up right back where they started, is the focus of The Released. The documentary will be screened at the First Unitarian Church of Toledo as part of its “Reentry: Restoring Communities, Piece by Piece” series detailing tales of former prison inmates’ attempts to reassimilate into society. A panel discussion follows the screening.
