Let the reel roll

The Ohio Theatre will be hosting an all-day event in celebration of the world premiere of Toledo filmmaker Michael DeSanto’s latest film, Spy College. The film follows the double life of Nick Dasher, a typical, head-of-the-class college student who also happens to be a spy-in-training by night. When a new, equally-as-brainy student interrupts Nick’s educational status and meddles with his affection for a particular girl, the battle begins. The event will feature screenings of Desanto’s shorts and videos, including his first independent feature-length film, Max Anderson, Private Eye. Enjoy spy- and college-themed drinks for those ages 21+. A Q&A with the cast and crew will follow the show.

$10. Noon, short film screenings; 4pm Spy College screening. Saturday, November 22. The Ohio Theatre, 3112 Lagrange St. 419-255-8406. ohiotheatretoledo.org
