“Life” at the Valentine? A wonderful idea

For many, the holiday season would not be complete without watching Frank Capra’s timeless film “It’s a Wonderful Life.” To experience it on the big screen, The Valentine Theatre will be hosting two screenings of the iconic movie starring Jimmy Stewart and Donna Reed, Friday, December 17 at 7:30pm and Sunday, December 19 at 2pm. A “Golden” story’s ruby anniversary

Both Henry Fonda and Katharine Hepburn won Oscars for their roles in the 1981 family drama “On Golden Pond,” which became the second-highest grossing film of the year in North America behind “Raiders of the Lost Ark.” In honor of the film’s 40th anniversary, Fathom events will host special screenings of “On Golden Pond” on Sunday, December 12 at 3pm and Wednesday, December 15 at 7pm.
