Mainstream isn’t always the best, especially when it comes to cinema. Cult classics appeal to the obscure, oftentimes opening viewers’ minds to revolutionary themes and influential storylines. Seduction Production’s 20th Anniversary Rocky Horror Picture Show double feature event at the Ohio Theatre will be a night of cult films— with a side of Halloween flair. Enjoy a screening of the goth favorite, 1994 fantasy action film, The Crow, at 10pm. After a short intermission, the main attraction begins at midnight with a special shadow casting of the 1975 musical comedy horror, featuring Dr. Frank N. Furter, a “transvestite from Transsexual, Transylvania”, in celebration of the classic’s 40th anniversary. A pre-show will include an inclusive costume contest, not limited to get-ups based on the cult film screenings.
